The Grand Island Cabins are a wonderful refuge for those looking for a quiet rustic place to get away for a few nights. Grand Island National Recreation Area is located in Lake Superior, about one-half mile from the mainland community of Munising, Michigan. The island's scenic natural beauty and interesting history make it an attractive place to spend your vacation.
General Information
The Munising Ranger District of the Hiawatha National Forest welcomes you to Grand Island. These cabins were constructed in 2012 through a partnership between the Forest Service and Grand Island Lodging, LLC. Recreation opportunities include biking, kayaking, hiking, fishing, swimming, beachcombing and hunting.
